The requirements for investigations at Forensic Architecture are constantly changing as the research develops and new reporting emerges. To assemble research findings and media elements, a computational infrastructure is needed that can respond quickly and adaptively.

Vertov responds to this need by allowing researchers to arrange and test cartographic and 3D media, providing a platform for developing research findings and mockups. It uses JSON files to configure the specifications of various projects, which use React Three Fiber and Mapbox to create interactive presentations for a wide variety of cases and research specializations.
